I'm running Mint 17, I'm trying to install the IP Update client and the package manager chokes on the deb. I keep getting the error: This is a major failure of your software management system. Please check for broken packages with synaptic, check the file permissions and correctness of the file '/etc/apt/sources.list' and reload the software information with: 'sudo apt-get update' and 'sudo apt-get install -f'.

I've done all of that and have to resort to using these commands to try again:

sudo -i
cd /var/lib/dpkg/info
rm -rf --remove --force-remove-reinstreq dynuiuc

Then I can try it again. The install always fails. Suggestions or fixes?
