Topic: Configuring Huawei router for DDNS
Hi there,I recently created a Dynu DDNS account, and I am trying to configure my Huawei router to update my DDNS record automatically. I read the help guide on the Dynu website, but after I tried to configure my router the status page on the router admin site suggests it is not working, as the status information says: "Run State: Down", and "Last Error: Other". It does however state a "Last Update Time" which gets updated every 10 mins or so, although I'm not sure if this last update was actually successful or not. Please can you confirm if I have made any mistake anywhere? If I check the "Last Update" on my account page on the Dynu website, the last update was when I manually updated the IP address on the DDNS site.My IP has not yet changed so I can't test it for real until my IP changes. In the mean time, it would be good if someone could confirm if I have made any mistake anywhere.Additional information: I have entered my username on the router admin page as case sensitive (as per my Dynu account), and for the password on the router admin page, I entered my IP Update Password. Also, I have removed special characters from my IP Update password as I read that some routers won't be able to handle special characters in the password field. So it now consists of just Uppercase, Lowercase and numbers.I've attached a screenshot of the router admin DDNS page. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give.

Sorry for delayed reply. I managed to find the solution immediately after posting this question. However my post wasn't published straight away so couldn't update the post, and then I forgot to check it again. My model is Huawei HG8145V. I found the link below, applied the steps mentioed and it seems to look more promising now as the status message gives a "last update time" on the router admin page with no negative error message. Having said that, my IP has not actually changed yet so I haven't managed to fully test if it was succesful, but I'm hopeful it should be fine.https://www.dynu.com/DynamicDNS/IPUpdateClient/HUAWEI-HG8245-HG8346M-HG8045H
